5 Online Lead Generation Sources That May Be Missing From Your Marketing Plan

Would you be surprised to find out that online lead generation has changed during the last several months? Today, leads are coming from phones, voice messaging, text messaging, and more. There are now many new ways to get leads for your website. You can even identify the phones in a restaurant at a given moment and send a coupon for a free dessert on the next visit.

Here are five recent changes in online lead generation that have either bubbled to the surface or become more important during the last few months. Be sure to incorporate these five changes into your plan.

1. Video. Video is the new requirement. It is almost as important today as search in online lead generation. Video does not need to be professionally produced. It just needs to speak to the interests of your market and be entertaining. When you make it, consider that there is also a good chance it will cross over on Facebook, your web site and phones.

2. Social Media. Social media is an effective way to build a group of followers and get people talking about your business. Focus on the two or three that are most likely to reach your target audience. In addition to online lead generation, these are also a very effective way to build links back to your site. And now, live social media activity is being picked up in search results by at least one of the leading search engines.

3. PPC Sponsored Listings. Sponsored listings on the results pages of the search engines are regaining importance. With search now including all of the chatter on the social networks, it is becoming more difficult to attain top ten ranking in organic search. This might again be the best option for appearing on page 1, which is essential for online lead generation.

4. Optimized content. Everybody needs to be adding content to their site regularly. That content also needs to be promoted and shared in other ways on the web to help you with online lead generation. Articles should be submitted to directories; press releases should be distributed online and sent to local media. Product and service descriptions should be spiced up and optimized. Everything you post anywhere online, including your blog, should be optimized and linked back to your site.

5. Using Automation. You can find a program or service that can automate almost everything you need to do for online lead generation. From PPC management to content production assistance, to pre-planned auto-responder programs - it is all out there. Don't be afraid to try it after checking it out. It will save huge amounts of time.

Incorporating these five tips for online lead generation into your marketing plans will help you stay on top of the latest developments and maximize your efforts and your expenditures.

Are You Using These Ten Internet Marketing Promotion Tactics?

There are countless ways to promote your small business or professional firm. Internet marketing promotion is the category of promotions that are somehow most difficult for many people.

One of the reasons internet marketing promotion seems so confusing is that the tactics are relatively new (or they seem to be), and there are so many people trying to convince you that they are the experts in either all types of promotion or in a specific type of promotion. In an effort to dispel some of the confusion and apprehension, here are the keys to internet marketing promotion.

1. Company web site. The way the site is built should move people from lead to customer, and it should be written to give them the information they need to make a buying decision. Your site is the foundation of all internet marketing promotion.

2. Keyword Research. You need it for search engine optimization and for Google AdWords.

3. A Google AdWords campaign. This can be as limited as your budget requires. It might be an occasional rather than a continuous option, and it should be limited in expenditure each day. It can be a good way to get traffic to your site in the beginning or during a major campaign.

4. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Program. Keywords change. So do search engine algorithms. The goal of internet marketing promotion is to help people find your site.

5. Email Marketing. This is the most affordable way to stay in touch with your customers and prospects. Use it for company news, special offers, follow-up, new product or service information, gathering information from customers, and more. Even a monthly newsletter is an important internet marketing promotion.

6. Free Stuff on your Website. Depending upon the kind of business you operate, this could be a free gift, a loss leader, or information (fact sheets, articles, special reports, e-books).

7. Media Relations Program. Build relationships with local reporters so they will come to you as a local expert when necessary. Regularly publish press releases.

8. Social Networking, social bookmarking, blogging and other Web 2.0 tactics, including commenting on other sites, blogs, etc. This is the newest approach to internet marketing promotion, and the most effective.

9. Article Publishing. This is a good way to get people to know who you are and to build more links coming into your web site.

10. Paid Ads. You will want to support your other internet marketing promotion efforts by putting a few paid banner ads on sites other that are appropriate to your business.

If you will pay attention to these steps in internet marketing promotion, you can expect to be successful.

Facebook bought the site Friendfeed as Facebook and FriendFeed share a common vision of giving people tools to share and connect with their friends, and Friendfeed now going like rocket to the sky and gaining a lot of attention after adding new features to it after facebook bought it.

in Friendfeed you can import RSS feeds from many sites like twitter and youtube and facebook .... etc.

in my opinion the interface in Friendfeed is much better than twitter hope you all enjoy this great site
